Andrey Novikov

is a Reading-based contemporary figurative artist working at the intersection of philosophical painting, cultural memory, and meta-modern symbolism.


Originally from Russia and now based in the UK under the Global Talent visa program, Novikov is known for large-scale psychologically charged compositions exploring civilization, decay, human isolation, and the search for meaning within collapsing cultural structures.


His work combines exceptional academic draftsmanship with expressive contemporary painterly language, merging monumental figures, architectural ruins, and symbolic narratives into immersive visual worlds.

Novikov has presented solo exhibitions in institutions and galleries across the UK, Germany, Turkey, and Russia, including:
